In 2019 I was traveling by train and playing shows across the country. While in LA, I met a phenomenal musician and very kind soul named Tim Fleming. He agreed to record this song with me, and we put down the tracks in March of 2020. By the end of April, he had passed away.

I've waited two years to release the song. Beyond the cosmic irony of the title and the situation, it also was too painful to revisit this music for a long time. But he was so good on this track and it does him an honor, I hope, to release it. I love you, Tim Fleming. You were a true friend to me in hard times and I'll never forget you.
